The favorite Bud & Travis album of PAT REED in Maryland is the gatefold In Concert recorded at the Santa Monica Civic Auditorium.
”I loved hearing Bud and Travis in my youth, and remember that they once appeared at the Cellar Door in Washington, D. C. It is wonderful that their music is on CD."

BOB KOVITZ of Tucson, Arizona recalls Bud & Travis concerts as well as a personal meeting with Travis Edmonson …
"Certainly, one of the most anticipated events at the University of California, Santa Barbara, in the 1960's was the annual "Bud and Travis" concert. They took us to places in folk music that we hadn't explored before, and we all waited breathlessly for Travis' rendition of "Malaguena."
Flash-forward into the early 1980's, after I had moved to Tucson. I was at a small nightclub/bar at a local hotel where Travis was performing. At that point, he had teamed up with local musician David Holt. I introduced myself and we reminisced about those concerts at UCSB. What a pleasure to meet
someone who had been an icon to me as a teenager in college."

MICHAEL ROBINSON in southern California has played his B&T albums continually since the 1960s.
“May God Bless Travis and all of you. I purchased each of the Bud And Travis albums on vinyl, and transferred all to tape years ago. I still enjoy so many memories while listening to their great sound.”

It's been the pleasure of JAMES BANGO in Hawaii to obtain one of his most treasured albums on CD via The Travis Edmonson Collection.
”I bought the Bud and Travis debut album when it first came out and have thought of it many times. I am now 70 years old and would like to hear them sing again.”

usician ED SHULTS has started his Bud & Travis CD collection with the debut album and Spotlight on Bud and Travis
“I first became aware of Bud & Travis while in a college folk group. Always looking for songs to sing we found Raspberries, Strawberries and Sinner Man. Thomas Straw is connected to budandtravis.com. Years ago I gave him an anecdotal story about my "connection" to Bud and Travis. My story appears on page one of
Tom's memories page.
Music has played a very important role in my life and I was one of thousands of musicians who played gigs in all types of venues. As a musician and entertainer I developed an appreciation for those who were talented enough to "have made it". Bud and Travis were an inspiration to keep working hard to get better at my craft.
Bud and Travis were skilled, talented and polished professional performers - they had a unique style. I was saddened to learn of Bud's passing and I do wish the very best for Travis. I wish our paths had crossed.”
Sincerely,
Ed Shults

Prof. PAT McCASKY, the entertainer son of legendary harmonica player Stagg McMann, was a teenager during the heyday of the hungry i, where his father was emcee, and Pat got to know Travis Edmonson when he was part of the club's resident group, The Gateway Singers.
”I just performed "On a “Cloudy Summer Afternoon" this past Friday to great applause at a coffee house at the Susquehanna Folk Singing Society in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania. I always introduce the song with a reference to Travis.”

MIKE JAMES PHIMISTER has just recorded the Travis Edmonson composition South Wind for his new CD “Mixed Bag.”
"I have several of the bud & Travis albums and still play them. Their breadth of musical skill and sensitive interpretations, especially on songs like Joey, Joey, Joey, had a way of appealing to even the most ardent folkey.
It was my pleasure to record South Wind in an arrangement melodically similar to the one done by Nick Reynolds, but I believe the accompaniment is fuller, yet tasteful. I hope Mr. Edmondson likes this version.
My wife and I are retired educators and are looking forward to performing in numerous festivals as a duo as well as with Hank Cramer and the USS Constellation Crew.
We just got back from the Tumbleweed Folk Festival where we performed the song. It got great reviews from the audience, especially those in a Kingston Trio workshop who had not heard the song in years. We also have an album of original songs for kids and a jazz album that we are quite proud of."
